Banstead Day Nursery and Preschool provide high quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Children in our nursery are well prepared to transition to school with our unique Ready for School programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians. We have a soft play and sensory room where the children can develop their physical needs and sensory to explore the different textures and lights.
Our nursery boasts a lovely outdoor area where we offer lots of opportunities for children to challenge themselves physically and incorporate outdoor learning via dedicated areas involving digging, writing, sand and water play and the mud kitchen. Meals and snacks are carefully planned in consultation with professional nutritionists and are freshly prepared on site in our 5 star environmental health rated kitchen by our experienced chef.
Our fees include all meals and snacks, plus branded nappies, wipes, cream, sun cream and formula baby milk as appropriate to ensure that there is smooth transitions between nursery and home.

Request a call backI started my career here in at the nursery, beginning my journey in our Preschool unit. Over the years, I have gained experience in all the rooms. I gained my Level 3 in Child Care and Early Years in 2010, Leadership and Management Level 3 in 2016 and currently studying Level 2 in Autism. Part of my role is Health and Safety Officer, which means I make sure the nursery is safe for all children, parents, visitors and staff.
I enjoy every minute working here at the nursery and am very proud to work alongside such an ‘Outstanding’ team.
I joined the team in October 2013. I began my journey in the 2-3’s Room and gained my Level 3 in Child Care and Education in 2015.
I enjoy my job every day, watching the children grow and learn is so rewarding.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
