Our nursery is located in the St John’s area of Royal Tunbridge Wells.
We are based a short walk away from both mainline stations of Royal Tunbridge Wells and High Brooms and very near to the bus stops which operate all the main routes. We are rated Outstanding by Ofsted and our nursery has five light and airy rooms where the children can explore and develop in age appropriate rooms and we offer a long standing team , some of which have been with us since we opened in 2005.
We have our own children’s committee who help us with decision making of what the children would like at the nursery. All our food is prepared fresh on site by Anna our chef who has fourteen years of preparing nursery food and all our menus are accredited by the Children’s Food trust.
We enhance the children’s development with our Growing programmes, supporting them in their journey to school.

I opened Teddies Tunbridge Wells Nursery in 2005 and currently have over 20 years’ experience in childcare. I also have a Level 4 NVQ in Childcare and Management. I was inspired to work in childcare as I love to see the children grow and develop and to play such an important part in the children’s early years. To be able to provide the foundations for their development is inspirational.
I have one child who has attended Teddies Tunbridge Wells. I enjoyed seeing him grow and flourish but it also gave me a better understanding of any concerns parents may have about leaving their child for the first time. I have enjoyed watching the nursery grow over the years and I am passionate about ensuring the nursery goes from strength to strength and the children are inspired to learn and develop.
I have been qualified since 2002 with a BTEC National diploma in Early Years and in 2008 I finished my Foundation Degree in Early Years.
I have been working at Teddies Tunbridge Wells since May 2009 where I joined as a Head of Unit and then in April 2010 I took on the role as Deputy Manager.
I have always love working with children and forming relationships with them and their families. I have found that having my own children has really helped me relate to the families within the nursery and helping them solve any issues they may have.
I am married and have 3 children called Amelia, Logan and Theo.
I have worked at Bright Horizons Tunbridge Wells Day nursery for 11 years. I did my Childcare level 2 at college and while working as a nursery nurse at Tunbridge Wells, I completed my Level 3 in childcare.
I then become Head of Preschool before moving on to become deputy manager alongside Becky.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
