Welcome to Southborough Woodlands Preschool. Our Ofsted-rated Good nursery is dedicated to giving children aged 2.5 to 5 years the very best care and early education.

Spacious Rooms for Active Learning

Your child will love the broad range of exciting resources and activities. Everything is specially designed for their age range, and there is dedicated area where your child will be supported with toilet training by their key person.

We have two large preschool rooms for children aged 2 to 4. These bright and airy spaces have easy access to our nursery garden. Both rooms have been set up to encourage your child's independence, allowing them to choose their own toys and resources based on their personal interests.

There are structured activity times throughout the day, which support your child's development and prepare them for the next steps in their learning life.

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress, whether that is moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Your child will feel confident to start school as they take part in our Ready for School Programme learning the essential skills for them to take their next steps.

Preparing for Their Next Steps

We are ideally located to feed into local schools such as Southborough, Speldhurst, Langton Green, Bidborough, St Matthews and St Johns, and work closely with all of them to ease the transition between nursery and big school.

Learning and Playing Outdoors

Surrounded by beautiful woodland, your child will love spending time in our large and exciting garden, where they can take part in activities including planting, digging, sand and water play in our amazing adventure garden, as well as hunting for mini-beasts: all of which help with sensory development.

The nature observatory overlooking the woods makes our garden a very special place for children to learn, develop and discover the natural world. There is also a kitchen garden where your little explorer can have fun growing their own herbs and vegetables.

We also have climbing frames, a canopy for playing come rain or shine, tricycles with a track, and a sandpit.

Delicious and Healthy Meals

Your little one will love tucking into their food at our preschool in Southborough, which is freshly prepared onsite by our own chef. All our food is varied and nutritionally balanced, helping children to establish healthy eating routines.

Our all-inclusive care covers all hot and cold meals, as well as all snacks and fresh water throughout the day.

A Convenient Location

Our preschool is set in a converted school in beautiful woodland next to Southborough Common and behind St Peter's Church. There is plenty of parking, making drop-off and collection easy and stress-free.
