Maidstone Boughton Lane Day Nursery and Preschool

Welcome to Maidstone Boughton Lane Day Nursery where our days are filled with fun, learning, and making friends. We care for children from ages 3 months to 5 years within a bright, inspiring, and happy environment, An onsite buggy park and car park make drop-offs and pick-ups easy and stress-free and our nursery is conveniently located near the Maidstone West train station as well as being situated in the catchment areas of Loose Infant School and Tiger Primary School.

In our large baby room, we follow your child’s individual routine and nurture their well-being from the first day they start settling in. We ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery, and your child’s keyworker will be present at the initial settling in sessions, which is when we chat with the parents about their child and gather as much information as possible. Your child will also be able to enjoy our cosy sleep room, the perfect spot for a much-needed nap. We want your child to have a home-from-home experience, and parents can make family boxes with their favourite items, including photos, to be kept at the nursery.

Our nursery room for ages 2–3 years is designed to support your child's independence and individual needs, helping them reach their milestones. Here, we have a drinking station that children can access throughout the day, and at mealtimes, we support their independence by encouraging self-serving and allowing them to collect their own plates and cups. The nursery room is directly linked to the garden, giving children the freedom to go in and out as they wish. We continue to follow each child’s individual routines, and some children do still nap in this room.

In our preschool room, we further develop the children’s independence, school readiness, and confidence. We support the children with self-help skills such as dressing and recognising their own names. Preschoolers gain independence by serving themselves during meals and enjoying access to a large outdoor area. All rooms use a nurturing approach to help children express and understand their emotions.

We are proud to offer several gardens, including the under-two’s garden with astro turf, grass, and a hobbit hill. The main garden includes a Hobbit house, climbing equipment, a slide, a sandpit, and a mud kitchen. Our Pre-School Garden features a pirate ship with a climbing wall and slide, a stage for relaxation or dance, bikes, and pretend building bricks. We value the importance of outdoor activities for physical development and fresh air.

In addition, we offer Boogie mites an interactive music and movement session, which is loved by children of all ages and provides exciting opportunities to learn about the world through music and song. Our nursery also features a lending library, home learning bags, and a welcoming space for parents with tea and coffee. And whilst your child is busy having fun, our Bright Horizons Family app will keep you updated on their activities, as well as being able to see all of our upcoming events and monthly activities.
