Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool

When children join us here at Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool in Orpington, they join a friendly and welcoming family of staff, parents and children, quickly settling into the routines and fun of the day.

We offer an extensive settling in sessions weeks before your child start date. This ensures both you and your child have ample time to adjust to new routines and build relationships with our dedicated team.

With spacious and airy rooms and a welcoming team, the nursery supports the learning and development of children from the age of 3 months to 5 years. Many of the staff are trained in both Makaton and BSL, and some are also bilingual. Bright Horizons Crofton nursery is ideally situated between Orpington and Petts Wood train stations, providing regular services to London and Sevenoaks, and on the 208-bus route providing a regular service into Bromley and Petts Wood.

Our baby room is cosy and heuristic allowing children at all stages of development to safely explore real items and natural resources. With an on-suite milk kitchen and nappy room, we can ensure all your child’s needs are seamlessly met and supported.

Our Toddler room sparks curiosity across the many low-level stations for our toddlers to explore, ensuring independence through play and an engaging environment, supported by our highly skilled staff team.

Our preschool room offers a range of learning stations for the children to explore and extend their knowledge and skills. Our preschoolers can take rest in our cosy regulation area and have access to loose parts and creative resources to inspire their creativity.

Throughout our age-focused rooms, where we provide the best start to schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress, whether that involves transitioning between rooms or preparing for school.

Each of the four age-specific rooms have been lovingly crafted into the perfect learning environment; a homely space for children to investigate, discover and explore. We love to get outside and enjoy our stunning roof garden which is available for children to access throughout the day and features an exciting mud kitchen, teepee, and curiosity area.

While your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
