Meet the Team

hayley Gomm nursery manager

Hayley Gomm

I have worked with Bright Horizons Crofton since 2007, I started as a level 2 qualified and through training and mentoring have gained a level 3 in childcare & education and a level 5 in leadership & management.

The career opportunity for progression was supported and I became a deputy manager 2011 and then manager in 2016.

I am incredibly passionate about providing environments for children that support them to become independent learners with an excitement to learn. Together my team and I have built a long standing, inspiring team that continuously strive to motivate, excite and engage every child every day.

I’m so proud to be a part of the Bright Horizons family and I look forward to welcoming you to Crofton.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
