Maidstone Turkey Mill Day Nursery and Preschool is a purpose-built and environmentally friendly nursery, carefully designed to support your child’s development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
We have six large, open plan rooms, each designed specifically with age-related activities and resources to engage and inspire your child’s love of learning from baby to preschool. Each room has their own secure garden, with free-flow access for the children to explore. Your child will enjoy den-building, gardening, water play, bug hunts and more!
We are passionate about inspiring children and plan our activities around their interests. By encouraging role play and ‘loose parts play’ the children can use their imaginations and their senses to explore, discover and develop their independence. Taking that one step further, our practitioners have completed Helicopter Stories Training. This has helped to bring stories to life and inspire the children to act out stories themselves – it also encourages our preschool children to tell their own stories.
Our enriching Ready for School programme focuses on early academic skills with Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians, giving every child the opportunity to gain the knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
At our nursery in Maidstone we have a friendly team of childcare professionals with many years’ experience. Ofsted has recognised our commitment to providing excellent childcare with an Outstanding in their latest inspection.
Maidstone Turkey Mill nursery is located on the A20 and has great links to Mote Park and Maidstone town centre.
We would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

I started my childcare career in 2014 , joining Bright Horizons as part of the bank team.
My journey has taken me through the completion of my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and provided the opportunity to work across all age groups broadening my theoretical and practical knowledge and experience.
I am passionate to provide the best care and quality of education for the children. I enjoy watching each of them grow and develop and feel privileged to be able share in their achievements.
In my own time I like to read and I also run.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
