Meet the Team

Zoe

I have been at Gaynes Park since 1997. I have worked my way through the leadership journey and became the Nursery Manager in 2011. Children make me smile and I love watching them learn and grow every day. My son was born in 2012 and he attended this Bright Horizons nursery before he transitioned to school in September 2016. Being a full time working parent can be challenging so I have a great understanding of our parents feelings when leaving their child in our care and knowing that they are safe and secure.

Annemarie

I have worked at Gaynes Park since May 2009. I have worked in childcare since 2005. I started at the nursery as a non-room base staff member supporting all age groups. I then became a room  leader within the nursery and have progressed to become a Deputy manager since June 2016.

I am passionate in delivering high quality care and education to our families and work closely with the families within the nursery to ensure that they are comfortable and happy. I am also passionate in Keeping Everyone Safe and am the nurseries Keeping Everyone Safe coordinator and use our health and safety super hero mascot Candyfloss to promote and engage staff and our families in health and safety.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
