Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool, located in the residential development ‘The Movement’, has been carefully designed to support your child’s education and development, from 3 months to 5 years.
We provide an enabling and stimulating environment with fun and challenging activities that are age and stage appropriate for all our children. We have five large, open-plan rooms tailored to each age group, and a lovely external play area where the children can flourish and explore. We encourage the children to have their own voice and to express their opinions on activities they would like to do, enabling us to nurture their imagination and use their interests as the basis for learning. When they are too young to express their own opinions verbally, we focus activities around the areas that the children show interest in, helping them learn through play.
Children have freeflow access to the garden from our 2+ rooms and babies have access to the garden daily at an allocated time, giving them the space and opportunity to explore. Outside, your child will love playing with our mud kitchen, water wall and in the Growing Gardener’s area, where we plant a variety of flowers. We also have a climbing frame and balancing beams in the garden encouraging the children to develop their gross motor skills, and soft play is used both within the rooms and the garden for the younger children too.
At Greenwich nursery our carefully selected staff team lead the children through a range of educational activities, such as number and construction activities, scavenger hunts, sport activities, messy play, crafts and turn-taking activities. For babies and toddlers we pride ourselves on providing a safe and exciting environment, rich with opportunities to actively explore, with books, singing and play. Inside the baby room, we have a cot room where we use calming music and sensory lights to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere to help the babies sleep.
Preschool children are well prepared for their transition to school through our Growing Enhancement programme, unique to Bright Horizons. Alongside the curriculum, these programmes further support your child in navigating subjects such as mathematics, art, reading and writing, giving them the inspiration and confidence to learn and thrive in school and beyond. To enhance our home-from-home atmosphere, we encourage families to send in photos of their little one’s favourite things at home or new things they have learnt, which they enjoy discussing in show and tell. To promote equality and diversity within the nursery, you will also find language posters to help our bilingual children feel more at home.
Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool is conveniently located on Lovibond Lane, with transport links close by for commuting parents. Food is freshly cooked by our onsite chef and fees are fully inclusive, which means all food, drinks, nappies and formula milk are provided.
Our experienced team would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you everything our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

I have been with Bright Horizons since January 2018. I am a qualified Level 3 in childcare and hold a Business and Management qualification Level 5. I have been working in childcare for 10 years, working my way up from an apprentice to now Manager of Greenwich. Working with children is a passion and thrive on supporting them develop through learning and play. I have supported Greenwich with their first Ofsted Inspection in January 2019 where we received a Good with Outstanding qualities. I thoroughly enjoy supporting and mentoring staff to provide children with exceptional childcare on a daily basis, and believe parent partnerships is key to working with children.
I have been in the childcare sector for 27 years and have gained a great deal of knowledge in the early years, working with children with SEN and implementing the EYFS curriculum. I have recently completed and successfully gained my BA in Early Childhood studies which involved a lot of dedication and self-discipline. I joined Bright Horizons in May 2018 and transferred to Greenwich in August 2018 where I have created great bonds with everyone. My ongoing development and training has given me the ability to motivate staff, support parents and further the children’s development through play. I look forward to supporting everyone to achieve great things at Greenwich.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
