A place to grow

Bank Street Nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We are located in a tranquil setting within the Canary Wharf Estate, just a short distance from the Jubilee and DLR Canary Wharf stations and buggy storage facilities are available on-site – making us perfectly located and convenient for parents who commute on to the Wharf.

Bank Street Nursery has smaller play rooms, with plenty of natural light, where each child has the opportunity to grow and flourish in a ‘home from home’ environment. The nursery offers a wide variety of engaging activities which encourage children to learn and explore.

Bright Horizons nurseries have a wide range of play and learning activities designed to encourage happy, confident children who are ready to enjoy a lifelong journey of learning, including our unique Growing Programmes, a unique set of enhancements which focus on reading, writing, science, maths, physical activity and art. We’re particularly proud of our passionate and committed nursery team, with several of our practitioners holding Qualified Teacher status and degrees in Early Years Studies.

Casey McKeon

I have been working in childcare since 2011 and have progressed through Bright Horizons, starting as an Apprentice and working my way up to Nursery Manager in September 2019.

I am passionate in delivering outstanding service for every child, every day in every room. I also make it my priority to ensure every child is in a loving environment where they are encouraged to learn about themselves and others, be inclusive and enjoy making friends!

In my free time I  enjoy reading, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
