You and your child will love our beautiful Bright Horizons Fair Oak Day Nursery and Preschool. Our experienced, nurturing staff and mindfully designed facilities support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
In our large purpose-built setting, we have a wide range of activities for all ages and stages. Each of our four rooms has the space for children to develop motor skills and coordination alongside academic pursuits. This includes indoor physical activities like yoga. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
Our nursery in Fair Oak features separate, soft gardens for both babies and toddlers, giving them safety in their outdoor play. Older children can enjoy freeflow access to an expansive space with room for bikes, plenty of play equipment and even a vegetable patch.
Children love their frequent trips outside the nursery on our minibus. Picking our own pumpkins and visiting the library, the local garden centre and Marwell are all part of regular nursery life.
Fair Oak nursery is located close to Fair Oak and Colden Common, close to bus routes and with onsite parking for your convenience. All-inclusive fees make preparation easier for you too, with all meals, snacks, nappies and wipes provided at nursery.
Ofsted have recognised our commitment to providing exceptional childcare with a rating of Good in their latest inspection.

I am very passionate and committed to providing outstanding care and learning opportunities for all the children in a fun, safe and stimulating environment where we follow the children's interests so they can learn, explore and develop to their full potential.
I joined Bright Horizons formerly known as Yellow Dot in 2002 as a Senior Nursery Nurse and was promoted to Room Manager, then Deputy. I then worked across the group in a support function. I was supported by Yellow Dot to study for my Early Years Degree in Childhood Studies. Most recently, I also took the role of leading music across all Nurseries delivering music to the children and team, as I do love to sing and dance! My own children were cared for by Yellow Dot, so I benefit from having the parents' perspective too.
I started at Bright Horizons formerly known as Yellow Dot in 2014 as a newly qualified Level 3 Nursery Nurse after leaving college. I worked in the Baby Room as a nursery nurse and progressed to be the Senior Nursery Nurse in there. I then took on a new challenge and moved to Kindergarten (Preschool) to become the Room Manager. After a few years in this role, I stepped up and became the Deputy of the Nursery as well as continuing my role as Kindergarten Room Leader. I enjoy coming to work each day, seeing the children’s development and how they grow into their own individual personalities before they go off to school.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
