Bright Horizons Chilworth Day Nursery and Preschool provides Outstanding quality childcare and education, supporting your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
Our tranquil environment and spacious setting give your child room to thrive. Each of our four rooms features high quality educational resources to suit the age and stage of the children. There are role-play areas in every room to encourage cognitive development, as well as dedicated creative areas.
We continually update the activities in our rooms to complement your child’s developing abilities and interests. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
Each room at Chilworth nursery enjoys freeflow access to a garden. Babies have their own dedicated garden for safe, interactive outdoor enrichment. Older children share a beautiful larger space complete with a mud kitchen and a mini allotment; perfect for practising our Green Gardeners activities.
Our nursery in Chilworth is located on Southampton Science Park, close to local bus routes and with a safe drop-off area for those driving. All-inclusive fees, including all meals, snacks, nappies and wipes, mean you have less to prepare on a busy morning.
We would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

I have over ten years childcare experience and am thrilled to now be leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding practice here on the Science Park. In my first childcare role, I enrolled myself onto a foundation degree at Winchester University.
I extended my learning further as a Preschool Room Manager by earning a BA Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies through the Open University. I joined Yellow Dot as a Deputy Manager and completed my degree in 2016. The majority of my career has been working with children aged 3 - 5 years which is where my love for letters and sounds begun! Letters and sounds has been a passion of mine since my first position as a preschool practitioner, as they naturally encourage 'school readiness'.
Throughout my career, I have supported many children with additional needs; another passion that was sparked early on in my career. Last year I was lucky enough to become SENCO whilst based at Winchester Yellow Dot, which enabled me to enhance my practice further. I am driven to provide a fun, safe and stimulating environment for all children who attend our setting and work close with the team to ensure the children we care for have fun, exciting experiences.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
