Our inviting and purpose-built Romsey Day Nursery and Preschool provides a safe and nurturing environment for your child aged from 3 months to 5 years to thrive in. Little ones really love our rooftop garden area and ‘dig’ our mud kitchen.
Inspiring Curiosity and Exploration
Your little one will benefit from age-appropriate activities designed to inspire every age and stage. From the vibrant sensory room, to creative construction, messy play, and meddling in the mud kitchen, our learning environments have been carefully designed to engage children’s interest and support their development.
Our Nursery and Preschool features beautiful garden spaces that include a rooftop garden for soft, safe outdoor exploration so that your little one can enjoy learning through play while out in the all-important fresh air.
A comfortable sleeping room is also available for your child, so even if you can’t catch up on sleep lost from the night before, they can!
A ‘Bright Beginning’ for Every Child
Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s development and progress – whether moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Request a call backI started working with Bright Horizons in September 2019 as a lead practitioner and now manage Bright Horizons Romsey. I am a qualified teacher and hold BA hons in teaching and learning support as well as having a foundation degree in Early years and Education.
I am a dedicated practitioner who uses many theorists approaches to learning, especially involving play and the importance of it in a child's learning and development. I run a happy and nurturing nursery and encourage good relationships with children and their families.
I have worked for Bright Horizons for twenty years. During this time, I have been building my career from Nursery Assistant to Deputy Manager. I then I joined Romsey Nursery in July 2020. I am passionate about creating safe and stimulating environments for the children in our care and providing them with the right experiences and resources to see what they can achieve. I enjoy new challenges, meeting new families and forming good relationships with all children and parents.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
