I have been working at Bright Horizons for 18 years, I started work in the baby care room and have progressed through the company. I was a deputy manager at Bright Horizons Southampton for a number of years and then went on a one year secondment to cover a manager for maternity leave, then went to Chineham to cover for maternity leave before returning as the manager for Southampton.
I am passionate about providing the best outcome for each and every child and family that attends the setting. I work closely with my staff team to make sure that every child has every opportunity.
I have been at Southampton Day Nursery and Preschool since 2016.
During my time here I have worked as a nursery nurse, a room manager in preschool and now as deputy nursery manager.
I spend time within the all the groups interacting with all the children meeting with parents and building trust, strong relationships is very important and is at the heart of all we do.
I support staff throughout the day in all kinds of situations and help them with any questions or queries they may have.
My role as Keeping Everyone Safe Officer allows me to do this to the best of my ability.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
