A HOME-FROM-HOME NURSERY IN BECKENHAM

You and your child will love our beautiful nursery in Beckenham, designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
Our stunning nursery is designed with each age group in mind, so your child will be supported from baby, with our comforting sleep room and sensory area, to preschool, with our learning centre complete with ICT equipment.  Our extra-curricular activities include Boogie Mites and myHappymind, encouraging a healthy lifestyle from a young age.
To extend your child’s play and learning beyond our bright indoor facilities, we also have a stunning outdoor space. Whether your child is feeling adventurous with their friends, or just needs some solo play time, they can do it all with the use of our garden’s play slopes, cubby house, quiet retreat, under-cover area and musical space.
We want your child to feel well connected to the wonderful community around us. This is why we take your child on regular guided trips to the local park to explore the natural surrounds. We also have close ties to local schools, so when your little one is ready for the next big step, we can provide your child’s school with an update on their key stages. That way, they will never miss a step during this important transition.
Our day nursery and preschool in Beckenham is conveniently located within walking distance from Elmers End Station and has fantastic access to local bus routes.
We are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and our local parents recognise the high quality of childcare we provide by giving us a daynurseries score of 9.3/10 (as of January 2020).
Our staff would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Meet the Team

Teddies Beckenham Nursery Deputy Manager

Tracey Mcarthur

I am a confident, knowledgeable worker, dedicated to creating a stimulating, encouraging, safe atmosphere for each child's individual needs. During over my 14 years’ experience, I have developed strong skills in supporting young children, and am genuinely passionate about providing the best child care and play experiences. I have been in childcare since 2003, working my way up from unqualified to room manager, unit coordinator and to deputy manager. Learning all the way, ever expanding in childcare knowledge, and understanding the ever evolving way children like to learn. Working with lots of different families and professionals along the way.

I consider myself as a hardworking and self-motivated individual who enjoys facing challenges and finding a professional way to deal with them. I enjoy listening to children, members of staff, and families, take their thoughts into consideration. I feel that my good communication skills are very essential when working as a team especially when children are involved. In my leisure time I enjoy socialising, travelling, listening to music, reading and visiting my family.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
