Beckenham Day Nursery and Preschool

Welcome to Bright Horizons Beckenham Day Nursery and Preschool. Our spacious and bright setting, designed for children aged 3 months to 5 years, helping them to thrive and encourage them to learn and embrace their independence. We are conveniently located within walking distance from Elmers End Station, with access to various local bus routes, and offer a convenient buggy park.

Babies and children under 2 ejoy spending time in our calm, cosy, and inviting baby room, complete with a comforting sleep room. This gentle and nurturing environment helps your child create positive relationships as they transition from home to nursery life. They will be engaged, entertained, and interested as they discover their classrooms at their own pace, focusing on activities which interest them most.

In our preschool room, children can enhance their independence through diverse activities like arts, crafts, mathematics, and writing. They can explore creativity at our playdough station and enjoy a quiet area for reading. Our inclusive environment celebrates various cultures with engaging activities, while yoga and mindfulness activities throughout the day.

Our landscaped garden offers diverse outdoor play opportunities, from mud kitchen adventures to quiet retreats and all-weather music spaces. Settling in is facilitated through two weeks of gradual sessions, allowing children to acclimate to different daily routines and activities.

Settling in sessions are important to us and we offer 2 weeks of settling in sessions, 3 sessions each week. We gradually increase the time so that your child/ren can experience different parts of the day for example snack time, lunch time, sleep time and teatime. On your first settle we complete an in depth ‘All about me’ which is where we get the chance to find out your child/ren’s likes and dislikes.

Trips to the local park and monthly visits from a hairdresser add to the enriching experiences we offer; and while your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
