Children, families and staff at Bright Horizons Chilworth Day Nursery and Preschool came together for a week-long celebration of creativity, confidence and community during the nursery's annual Chilworthfest.
Now in its third year, Chilworthfest transformed the nursery gardens into a vibrant festival space packed with music, face painting, mocktail-making, creative activities and role-play experiences. Children embraced the festival spirit by dressing up in their favourite festival outfits and taking part in everything from wand-making and lemonade stations to performing on a special outdoor stage.
As part of the celebrations, almost 50 family members attended a special Stay and Play session, giving parents the opportunity to experience the festival alongside their children and see first-hand the fun, friendships and learning taking place across the nursery.
Charlotte, Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Chilworth, said:
"Chilworthfest has become a much-loved tradition for our nursery community. It's a wonderful opportunity for children to express themselves, build confidence and simply have fun. The team puts an incredible amount of effort into creating a magical week, and we were delighted to welcome so many families to celebrate with us."
Parents praised the event, describing it as "welcoming, colourful and full of heart" and highlighting the dedication and enthusiasm of the nursery team.
One parent said:
"It was wonderful to watch my daughter and her friends moving from face painting to dancing and crafts, completely immersed in the fun. Events like this really show how special the setting is and how much heart goes into everything the team does."
