A Place to Grow

Westchester House is located in Farnham and has been developed in an exciting, new, purpose-built facility situated on Guildford Road - the last part of the Farnham Hospital redevelopment. No expense has been spared to ensure that every aspect of child development has been considered and incorporated into the design, which has taken three years to come to fruition.

Moreover, not only does the building provide children with the safest and yet most stimulating environment in which to develop, but it also reflects our total dedication to pursue excellence in environmental standards and adoption of our own stringent Green Policy.

Our unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

We are now offering half days and open from 7am -7 pm. We are also offering a free drop off  between 7am-7:30am and pick up between 6:30pm-7:00pm at no additional charge.

Meet the Team

Lura Deputy Manager Westchester House

Laura Byrne

Having obtained my qualifications in Childcare Learning and Development, I started my career in early years care 12 years ago - Joining the team at Westchester House in 2014. The nursery has changed a lot in that time, and I feel now more than ever that we are offering the best in early years care and education in our area. The nursery has been recently refurbished and this significant investment has allowed us to create rooms that inspire and engage young minds. The nursery has a great reputation and our longstanding staff teams have helped build relationships in the community. My main passion is always to get the best from and for our children, striving to continually improve and provide the best start for children from 3 months old.

Carl Westchester House Deputy Manager

Carl Bedford

I joined the Westchester House Day Nursery and Preschool in January 2011 as a Senior Team Leader, overseeing our rooms and staff working with children aged 2-3 years old. Now as a Deputy Manager, I have created invaluable working relationships with my staff and continue to help grow and support them in their continuous professional development. I am very passionate about the nursery and developing positive bonds with family and staff. I consider it important to ensure the children have a safe, fun and stimulating environment to learn in. I love coming to work with such a hardworking and fantastic team who support each other within the Bright Horizons family. As a parent myself, I truly understand the needs of our families and work to support them in delivering exceptional childcare and family solutions which give their little ones the best possible start.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
