Request a call backI joined bright horizons in 2015, as Deputy Manager working at a client Bright Horizons, I then worked my way up to being Nursery Manager. Since joining bright horizons I have enjoyed working across different settings. I joined Bright Horizons Fleet in November 2021
I started my career in childcare in 2007 and loved every part of it, where I then went on and completed my NVQ level 3 in childcare. I love working hard and seeing the progress you have made on a child, I thrive at my position as I see this as we are sculpting the future.
I started my childcare career in 2007 as a Nursery Nurse, since then I have completed my NVQ level 3 in childcare. I joined the Bright Horizons Fleet team in 2011 where I was a room leader and have progressed in my career since. I was given the opportunity to develop my knowledge and took on the third in charge role in 2016, and then moved in to my Deputy Manager role in November 2021. I have a passion for watching children progress and develop whilst being at nursery, and helping them learn new skills.
I joined Bright horizons in 2003 as a nursery assistant moving from the Farnborough nursery, I then went on to complete my level 3 in childcare and then went on to develop my career being promoted to room manager of the baby room and most recently third in charge in December 2021.
I really love working in the nursery and watching the children grow and develop and forming good partnerships with the parents.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
