A Bright and Spacious Nursery in the Heart of Woking

Our beautiful Woking Day Nursery and Preschool is a light, airy space, specifically designed to support your child’s development from 3 months to 5 years.

For those at the earliest stage, our focus is on the transition from home to nursery. Our settling in sessions ensure your child has the space and time to feel comfortable, and our sensory baby rooms and toddler activities keep children engaged and happy in their learning.

Preschoolers are able to benefit from an enriching Ready for School programme that gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond. Our unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

Under twos and preschoolers can enjoy freeflow access to our garden, giving them room to explore outdoors. Our onsite chef makes healthy, nutritious food every day to keep the children fuelled for learning and play.

Our nursery in Woking is conveniently located less than a ten minute walk away from Woking Train Station, with buggy storage and a parent drop-off area. We are rated Good by Ofsted and have a 5/5 star rating on Google reviews (as of March 2020).

We would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and we will show you everything our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Woking Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Alice Dixon

Hi, my name is Alice. I have been working in childcare since 2008 and currently hold a Level 3 in childcare and education. I started my career working in children’s centres with children of all ages. Over the years I have learnt from and grown in a variety of childcare settings. I have a sound knowledge of the early year’s foundation Stage and ensure it is incorporated in the learning and development of all the children in our care. I am first aid and SENCO trained and hold a Level 4 in management and leadership as well as a Level 3 in Forest school leadership and Learning. I am very passionate about childcare and will provide a safe and stimulating environment here at Woking Day Nursery.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
