Rachelle Carver

I have worked in the Early Years since 2005 when I left college with a Level 2 in Childcare & Education. I started working for the company initially as a Nursery Assistant in 2006 while I gained my level 4 Certificate in Early Years through the Open University. Since then I have worked in several different roles including Nursery Nurse, Room Leader, Third in Charge and Assistant Manager. I am extremely passionate about my nursery and the children who attend, I am committed to providing quality childcare to the parents and children who use the setting.  I am immensely proud of my amazing team here at Haslemere Pre-School & Day Nursery who work incredibly hard to provide a wonderful safe and stimulating environment for the children.

Emma Saunders

Like Rachelle I have worked in the Early Years for many years, staring at Haslemere Nursery in 2007, qualified to Level 3 in Child Care. I have worked my way through various roles to my current position, and more recently stepped up as the Nursery Manager for a short period while Rachelle was seconded to support at another Bright Horizons nursery. My beliefs and values within my role is to treat all children and families as individuals, and really understand how I can support your child to thrive in our setting.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
