Purpose-built, Timperley Day Nursery and Preschool in Cheshire has been carefully designed to support your child’s education and development, from 3 months to 5 years.

Our Timperley nursery team is made up of caring and experienced professionals, including qualified Early Years teachers to give your child the best start in life. We have staff who are SENDCO qualified and staff trained to support Speech and Language with Welcome and Nursery Talk, offering support to children who have additional needs.

Our Growing Enhancements programme, unique to Bright Horizons, includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians, alongside Growing Artists and Creative Cooks. These enriching activities are designed to encourage your child’s natural curiosity to learn, and inspire their interest in food and art, helping to lay the foundations for future academic and creative achievements. In order to support and prepare children for their transition to school, we also hold annual school readiness evenings.

The nursery boasts excellent facilities that will enable children to engage in a broad range of activities; from music and cooking, to yoga and other physical activities. We have a preschool kitchen area where the children are able to engage in Cookery Club and our Growing Scientist experiments, as well as an art studio that is linked with our Growing Artists programme. We have a fully equipped ICT area where preschool children can learn computer skills and an inspiring role play area, which is fully furnished with a variety of resources to enhance the children’s imagination and role play skills.

Timperley Day Nursery encourages community enrichment and has weekly visits with Allingham House Elderly Care Home, building on inter-generational learning needs.

We have a parent room for parents to relax, unwind, and wait for their children, as well as a refreshments station for parents to enjoy after drop-off or evening pickups. All-inclusive fees also mean you do not have to prepare food or bring in nappies in the morning, giving you extra time and peace of mind.

Ofsted have recognised our commitment to exceptional childcare and education, with a rating of ‘Good’ in their most recent inspection and we have a 5 star kitchen food hygiene rating.

Our experienced team would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you everything our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Meet the Team

Janette Schenk - Nursery Manager

Janette Schenk

I have been working in childcare for 25 years and have gained a Level 4 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Education. My experience has mainly been in nursery settings but I have also been a nanny. I have been a Nursery Manager at Timperley Day Nursery since March 2013. My career goal has always been to work with children and even as a young teenager I babysat for friends and family. I now enjoy training and supporting others; inspiring them to reach their full potential and developing their passion for their career in childcare, ensuring that the care, learning and development in the nursery is maintained to a high standard.

Aimee Martin

My love for child care began at the age of 17 when I enrolled on a Cache diploma in child care and education course and began placements working in nursery settings. After gaining my level 3 qualification I began working in one of nurseries I did my placement at. I worked there for 10 years, working within all age groups ranging from 0-5 years.

Starting as a level 3 practitioner I soon became senior practitioner with the responsibility of running the toddler unit and then was promoted to third in charge. During my time at the nursery I went on to study at university and gained a Foundation Degree in Early Year’s Child Hood Studies. This enabled me to gain even more knowledge to go along with my many years of experience. I am really looking forward to developing my career and the exciting future ahead of me by joining the Bright Horizons Timperley team.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
