Norfolk Lodge Montessori Day Nursery

Welcome to Bright Horizons Norfolk Lodge Montessori Day Nursery and Preschool. We're a proud nursery that teaches methods developed by Maria Montessori, providing purposeful and stimulating activities to enhance each child’s growth and development.

Located in Barnet, we offer the very best care and early education for children aged 6 months to 5 years, with an onsite car park. Conveniently situated near Potters Bar station and High Barnet tube, our nursery is open for 46 weeks of the year (35 weeks term time and 11 weeks of Activity School). Please note, the nursery is accessible by car only.

Our nursery, set in a beautiful character building, offers ample space for your child to learn and explore, with Montessori equipment arranged at low levels for easy accessibility. With nine bright and airy classrooms tailored for different age ranges, we build on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum to provide a holistic approach to learning. Our curriculum combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential.

Practising the Montessori ethos, we encourage your child's independence in both play and learning, allowing them the freedom to choose activities and develop at their own pace.

Our expansive outdoor area spans two acres, providing ample space for exploration, play, and learning. Equipped with age-appropriate resources, a soft-surfaced court, covered play areas, and a beautiful woodland area for forest school skills, there's always something new and exciting for your child to discover, including climbing frames, bikes, and scooters.

While your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
