Beaufort Park Day Nursery and Preschool

Welcome to Bright Horizons Beaufort Park in Colindale. Our bright and spacious nursery is the perfect place for your child, offering care for ages 3 months to 5 years. Perfectly located with less than half a mile from Colindale tube station and under a mile from Colindale town centre, we’re also near Beaufort Park and the famous RAF Museum.

Each of our specially designed rooms features age-appropriate facilities, resources, and toys to support your child as they grow. Your child will be encouraged to follow their own interests at their own pace throughout their journey with us, as they make new discoveries and learn essential key skills along the way.

To support your transition from home to nursery we offer free of charge settling in sessions. We offer new starters 1 week of settling before your chosen start date. This is when we offer children and parents to stay and play for 1 hour on the first day and increasing that time 1 hour each day for the week. This is so that your child can get used to the space and become comfortable with the idea that parents will return shortly and to start to build attachments with staff members and new key person.

In our under twos room, we cater to both non-mobile and mobile children aged 3 months to 2 years. Each child is assigned a key person to support their learning and care needs. Our baby area provides a cosy, home-like environment for exploration, while our pre-toddlers area offers various activities like reading, baby gym, and loose parts play. We help pre-toddlers in transitioning by introducing cups at mealtimes and enhancing their language skills.

In our busy 2-3 rooms, we focus on aiding each child’s developmental stages. As they learn independence and sensory exploration. Set around the 2-3’s room is areas to help the children gain confidence in all the EYFS area’s such as water/sand play, construction, reading corner, role play, arts and crafts.

When your child is ready to go to preschool, they will begin their settling process of 2 weeks before their move day, starting with an hour day and gradually going up hours throughout those weeks. They will be assigned a key worker who will spend time getting to know them and yourselves, making the whole transition as comfortable as possible.

Preschool is where our children from 3-5 years learn skills to help them grow and get ready for school. Our staff will provide excellent support when planning for the children’s development. We have two classroom spaces for children to learn and feel secure we also have a large garden space for children to experience the outdoor environment, we offer a wide range of activities. We go on regular trips around the surrounding environment to teach the children all different life skills such as road safety, protecting our carbon footprint and stranger danger.

Moving outside, your child will love spending time in our large garden, which features two separate areas for different age groups. From cycling and role-playing, to climbing frames and obstacle courses, there's something for everyone in our exciting garden.
