A BRIGHT AND SPACIOUS NURSERY IN NEW SOUTHGATE

You and your child will love our Outstanding New Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool, designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years. The combination of our nurturing, committed staff and exciting learning activities helps your little one to reach their full potential.

Our nursery’s spacious rooms are light and airy, with toddlers and preschool children enjoying freeflow access to the garden. Each room features age-specific resources to pique your child’s natural curiosity, such as loose parts play, home role-play corner, reading nook, art station and more. We focus on children’s wellbeing and confidence, promoting individuality. We use the children’s interests as a basis for planning new activities, with children enjoying music and movement sessions, singing, cooking, dancing and PE. Babies enjoy activities that help develop their muscles and motor skills, and sensory toys that allow them to discover new textures, sights and sounds.

To extend your child’s play and learning beyond our enriching indoor facilities, our nursery in New Southgate has a stunning outdoor space. Whether your child is feeling adventurous with their friends, or just needs some solo play time, they can do it all with the use of our garden’s soft play slopes, tricycles, building blocks, seesaw and reading nook. There’s even a sensory garden, full of new sights, textures, scents and nature discoveries.

New Southgate nursery is conveniently located only 10-minutes’ walk from New Southgate train station, with good links to local bus routes and space outside the nursery for drop-offs. Our all-inclusive fees include all meals, snacks, nappies and wipes, giving you more time and less to pack in the mornings.

Ofsted have recognised our commitment to exceptional childcare and education, giving us a rating of Outstanding in their latest inspection. Locals parents have also given us a 5/5 star rating on Google Reviews.

Our staff would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Lauren Wood, Assistant Manager at New Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool

Lauren Woodbrock

I enjoy being the deputy manager as well as the room leader in pre-school; I have worked at Teddies since 2006, although I have over 15 years’ experience of working in childcare. I started as a nursery nurse, attended a lot of training including the Growing Leaders programme and have now worked my way up to the leadership team.  My hobbies are music, baking cakes, shopping, looking after my nephews who are 3 and 7, and going to the cinema.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
