Nurture, Learn, and Play at our Nursery in New Southgate
Welcome to Bright Horizons New Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool! Our long-standing team is dedicated to providing the best care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from New Southgate Overground station and close to Arnos Grove tube, our nursery offers an onsite buggy park for easy access.
We offer an exceptional start to schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress, whether that involves transitioning between rooms or preparing for school.
Our nursery features three spacious, naturally lit rooms which are all equipped with age-specific resources, including loose parts play, home role-play corners, reading nook and art stations, ensuring there is always something new to discover.
We base our activities on your child’s interests, with engaging sessions in music, movement, singing, cooking, dancing, and PE. As our children grow and progress to preschool our qualified preschool teacher prepares aspiring learners with the skills they need to feel confident starting school.
Through our Growing Enhancement programmes, children are introduced to essential key skills in subjects such as maths, reading, writing, science, art, IT, sports, and more, ensuring they get the best start to their schooling life; and while your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
We’re fortunate to have four beautiful outdoor spaces: a front patio garden, the main garden, growing gardener’s area and a free flow garden for babies and toddlers. These areas feature soft play slopes, trikes, building blocks, a seesaw, and a sensory garden filled with textures, scents, and nature discoveries.
Twice a year we offer professional photos, including graduation photos, a lending library for children to take home books, and regular zoo lab sessions where children can handle and see animals firsthand.
We also offer Settling in Sessions tailored to suit you and your family. Please ask our nursery manager for more information.

We've got it covered
Baby and toddler care items are all included, together with all food and snacks (and milk for babies under 1 year-old). We offer milk alternatives and dairy- free milk to children with allergies.

Our calculator enables you to estimate your basic fees BEFORE childcare funding is applied. We’ve taken this approach as funding is dependent on your own very individual situation, how old your child is, where you live, whether you’re working, or you get discounts from your workplace.

When you visit us, we can also help you understand your options and work out what your net fees will be after any childcare funding is taken into account.
