A place to grow

Enfield Hilly Fields Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly Barley Barn Enfield) is based in a wonderful Victorian Grade 2 listed building in the Enfield Chase district of the London Borough of Enfield.

It is very well situated next to the picturesque Hillyfields Park and is close to Enfield town centre along with the surrounding areas. It has easy access to both the A10 and the M25 as well as local railway stations. This day nursery in Enfield is open for 52 weeks of the year and operates from 7.30am – 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Our bright and homely day nursery offers childcare provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years in the Clay Hill and Lavender Hill areas of Enfield in North London.

We are fortunate enough to have two further gardens which enable a wide range of fun activities to take place outside every day, allowing us to offer a broad outdoor curriculum.

Food is provided from our own on-site kitchen by our fully trained, dedicated chef. All meals and snacks are prepared daily using fresh, healthy and nutritionally balanced ingredients. As well as having a secure car park, the nursery has a designated buggy storage area to enable parents to drop off and collect their children from the nursery as smoothly as possible.

Our staff are specialised in helping your child realise their potential from a very young age. Whether they are destined to be a musician, an artist or a mathematician they are encouraged to discover their passions at Hilly Fields

Meet the Team

Enfield Hilly Fields Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Niyusha Alizadeh

I have been in childcare for the past 14 years. I joined the company in 2010 as a room leader and worked my way up the progression ladder very quickly.

I have been studying ever since I can remember, signing up for a new qualification every couple of years. Today I hold a Level 5 qualification in childcare and am also currently studying towards a Level 5 qualification in operational management.

Hilly Fields became my second home in February 2016 when I finally decided to take up the challenge of managing a nursery and today I couldn’t be more proud of my team and the quality childcare they deliver each day.

Enfield Hilly Fields Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Stephanie Moore

I have worked at Hilly Fields since 2018 as the Deputy Manager with 10 years childcare experience in previous Nursery settings.

I hold a BA Hons in Education Studies & Early Years and use both my experience and qualification to support the staff team, setting and Parent's in their journey with us.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
