Meet the Team

Sarah Andrews

I have worked for Bright Horizons since 2010, where I joined the team as a nursery practitioner. Over the years, I have gained a lot of experience and had opportunity to work alongside many different families and children. During this time I also was able to gain my degree in Special Educational Need and Disabilities Inclusive Practice.
Over ten years into childcare and I am still fascinated by these little people who with just one smile can brighten up your day!

Salcombe Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Lucia Prestage

I have started at Salcombe in 2007 as a supply staff member.

I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare. From the first moment I knew, that this nursery is a great environment for children as well as an amazing place to work at. As the time went on I have been promoted to Room Leader and then eventually Third in charge.

This role has given me an insight to management role and I have enjoyed the extra responsibilities. In 2014 I have been promoted to a Deputy manager. My role enables me to work closely with the staff and supporting them in enhancing children’s development.

I thrive on meeting new parents and children, showcasing our lovely nursery and guiding them through the their nursery experience.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
