Welcome to Salcombe Day Nursery and Preschool. Our beautiful, purpose-built nursery has been established for over 20 years and is dedicated to providing the best care, support, and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Spacious Rooms to Explore

Set in a charming character building in a lovely, green area, each of our classrooms in our setting is light and spacious offering lots of space for your little one to explore.

In our welcoming under 2s unit, we have two rooms; one for under 1s and the other for 1 to 2s, Both rooms offer a cosy but spacious setting where we follow individual home routines as closely as possible, ensuring your little one’s transition to nursery runs smoothly.

Our lovely nursery room is for children aged 2 to 3. It has lots of space and different areas offering a variety of fun and exciting learning opportunities.

Our preschool room is busy and bustling and is the perfect setting for your child to learn all the skills they need to prepare them to start school.

We also have a calming sensory room filled with stimulating resources that all the children love to use.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Getting Ready for Their Next Steps

To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, our older children take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing, and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.

Amazing Garden Space

Your little one will have hours of fun in our beautiful garden, which offers different areas for each of our age groups.

The landscaped garden has something for every child, from climbing frames and playground equipment, to toddle bikes and a covered area for activities. We also have a forest school area which has its own mud kitchen for cooking up tasty mud pies.

All-Inclusive Care and Convenience

• Nutritionally-balanced meals are prepared by our onsite chef. Our all-inclusive care extends to snacks, nappies, wipes, formula, and creams.
