Day Nurseries & Preschool in Manchester

Bright Horizons Manchester Day Nursery and Preschool

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Manchester Day Nursery in central Manchester is a purpose-built environmentally friendly concept nursery situated within the heart of Macintosh Village. It is conveniently situated close to major bus, train and tram routes around Oxford Road. Our nursery has three well equipped base rooms and two large outside play areas, which is a rarity for a city centre nursery. Our team of experienced childcare professionals work closely with parents to support the learning and development of their child, including play and learning at home ideas to support them in reaching their full potential. Our parent room compliments these relationships by being a dedicated area for families and key workers to support partnership and communication between nursery and home. Late pick up is available, bookable in advance for a small fee.

We have recently reduced our fees so now is the perfect time to book your personal tour!

Meet the Team

Chloe Barwick

I am very passionate about working with children in the early years, having a wide variety of experience throughout my career in childcare. I have a BA Honours in Childhood, Youth and Early Years and have qualified as an Early Years Teacher. I am always striving to ensure children learn and develop to their full potential whilst in my care, providing them with opportunities to challenge and stimulate them, using my knowledge and understanding of child development to achieve this.

Rabia Ali

Working with children and helping them to achieve their individual goals and support their needs has always been has been a passion from a very young age. I have 8 years’ experience working within a nursery setting and 3 years as a Deputy Manager. I started working for Bright Horizons in June 2013 when kidsunlimited joined the Bright Horizons family and I joined Manchester in 2011 as a Room Leader. I am a level 3 qualified nursery nurse and I have attended a range of courses that have helped me to extend my learning and knowledge in a Child Care setting. These courses include Behaviour Management and Advanced Child Protection. I am also Paediatric First Aid trained and the designated leader in Advanced Child Protection. I enjoy the continued professional development I gain through working in this profession as I feel there is always something new to learn and bring to the children to help them thrive.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
