We offer a warm, welcoming environment supporting the transition from home to nursery, and we provide excellent nutritionally-balanced menus using fresh ingredients prepared by our own chef. Our allotment area, three acre garden and swimming pool give children plenty of naturally inspiring education & exploration opportunities. We also offer a breakfast club from 07:30 and an afternoon club until 18:30. Our highly qualified team helped us to secure an Outstanding rating in our latest Ofsted inspection.

Meet the Team

Sue Pumffrey

I have been at Inglewood since 1999 and been in childcare for over 38 years. I am an NNEB but also have a degree and PGCE in Early Years and Education. I am also an EYP and am a qualified assessor and IQA of childcare qualification, as it is important to me that I can impart my knowledge and experiences as well as mentoring people who enter the sector.

I have always wanted to work in childcare and I am passionate about the nursery and the provision that we offer, where the children and their families are of paramount importance to us. Seeing young children develop and grow through their learning experiences is what makes my job so rewarding. When my children were younger, I was a childminder and I tried working in an office but only lasted 3 months before hastily returning to childcare! I have carried on training and developing professionally throughout my career. I strive to maintain currency of practice in order to ensure I am able to support my team effectively and passionately believe we are entrusted to provide the best care and education we can.

Inglewood is a place where everyone is happy and this is evident through our day to day work.

Louise Chapman

I have worked at Inglewood since 2007. I originally joined as Room Leader in one of the baby rooms and then became unit manager for the under 2s. I gained my Foundation Degree in Early Years, which was a huge sense of achievement and which has helped me in my career progression and my delivery of child care and education. I was then successful in gaining the position of Deputy Manager. I now have two children of my own and have enjoyed the fact they can come to work with me. My passion is to ensure that the children in our nursery receive the highest standards of education and care. I have recently worked with our Under 2s manager to introduce a Mummy, Bump and Baby coffee morning which provides our new and expectant mummies with an opportunity to meet and catch up; their babies do too!
