Bracknell Day Nursery and Preschool is bright, homely and welcoming, with carefully designed features and layout to support your child’s education and development, from 3 months to 5 years.

Each age-appropriate room has play and learning resources to engage the natural curiosity of your child. Practitioners in the Baby Room use their knowledge and the variety of exciting resources to support cognitive, muscle and motor skills development, as well as standing, walking and speech. We also have a separate baby sleeping room for those quieter times. Toddlers love learning about the world around them, challenging their growing independence and understanding through word play, number games and teamwork.

Our Growing Enhancements programme for preschoolers, unique to Bright Horizons, includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians, alongside Growing Artists and Creative Cooks. These enriching activities are designed to encourage your child’s natural curiosity to learn, and inspire their interest in food and art, helping to lay the foundations for future academic and creative achievements.

Our nursery in Bracknell has a beautiful garden, split into separate areas for each age and stage. Children love spending time outdoors, exploring nature through the mud kitchen and planting boxes, and practising their coordination on the balance equipment. In the summer, children enjoy bug hunting, reading under the canopy, and learning about the foods they can harvest from the growing area.

Bracknell nursery is conveniently located between Bracknell central and Popeswood. We have a large car park for easy drop offs, and there is a bus stop very close by.

Our long-standing team would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you everything our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Meet the Team

Farnham Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Michelle Tamburrini

I have been in the childcare industry for 13 years working my way up from a nursery assistant.

I began my journey working towards my level 3 qualification in childcare shortly after this. After 6 years I progressed into a deputy manager role and found the thirst for knowledge so then embarked on my Foundation Degree journey.

Through this my passion for implementing and embedding outstanding practice sparked and shortly into this qualification I was offered a nursery manager role. The teachings I had helped me to steer my team and influenced my leadership style to achieving my first outstanding nursery inspection. Since then I have worked in a number of nurseries for Bright Horizons implementing quality and standards to ensure the parents and children get the right start on the educational journey.

Bracknell Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Nikki Hopcraft

I have been with Bright Horizons since 2001. I have completed my NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Childcare and Education and also my advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education. I started work as a Room Manager in the 2-3 year old room and then progressed to Deputy Nursery Manager.

I have seen many families go through our nursery and have enjoyed being a part of the children’s development. I have two young children, one of which attends Dolphin Bracknell Nursery.

I work alongside the Nursery Manager to deliver the highest quality care and education for children and families. I also regularly spend time in the nursery rooms observing and mentoring staff in addition to spending valuable time with the children.

Louise Burness, Third In Charge at Bracknell Day Nursery and Preschool

Louise Burness

I have worked within the childcare sector for 14 years. I started out in my career as a nursery assistant where I also attained my NVQ LEVEL 3 in Childcare and Education.

I have experienced different roles within my career ranging from nannying to my current position as third in charge. Along the way I have gained a great deal of knowledge through experiences caring for children aged between 3 months and 12 years of age, and I am passionate about providing children with a safe and secure environment, enriched with a wide range of learning opportunities, that is supported by caring and knowledge staff.

I have an amazing family who support me to achieve the best outcomes in my career and two beautiful daughters aged 6 years and 7 months.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
