Abbeymore Day Nursery and Preschool

Bright Horizons Abbeymore strives to offer a home away from home environment. Our light and spacious rooms are designed to encourage children to explore and move freely between activities. Resources are carefully selected and thoughtfully displayed to create a sense of awe and wonder in our young learners!

Our recently renovated Victorian building offers old-style character and is set within a large, purpose-built garden. The site offers ample parking and is within easy commutable distance to Reading and the surrounding area.

At Bright Horizons Abbeymore, children are seen as strong, capable, and independent. The adults go to the children, not the other way around. It is the role of the adult to help scaffold, support, and facilitate children’s learning. Our open-ended resources provide children with endless play opportunities so that their imaginations can take flight.

Throughout our age-focused rooms, where we provide the best start to schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists. Our experienced team work closely with parents and children to develop a holistic understanding of children’s existing knowledge and skills. Next steps are planned in the moment so that children’s learning is not disrupted.

Our preschool rooms benefit from an Atelier space where children can do art on a much larger scale and regularly participate in hands-on science experiments. All children are offered enrichment activities such as cookery classes, gardening, and musical activities.

While your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.

When you start with us, an ‘All About Me session’ will be arranged with all our families. This is the perfect opportunity to meet your child's new Keyperson and share information regarding your child's development and routine at home. Settling-in sessions will also be booked at this meeting to help children become familiar with our nursery before they start.
