Bright Horizons' nursery in Wokingham is located on Molly Millar’s Lane, close to the M4 with Wokingham train station just two minutes away, offering excellent access for commuters to Reading or London and local residents.
Children take part in a variety of activities, appropriate for their age. For example, sensory play is a primary focus for babies as they learn about the world around them. As they grow into toddlers, role play becomes prominent, before they reach preschool age and focus shifts to more structured learning, getting the children ready for the move to school. Being outdoors is also a common theme at Wokingham, allowing children to experience all weathers, as well as participate in our Growing Gardeners and Active Athletes programmes.

My name is Penny and I have been a Deputy Nursery Manager for Bright Horizons since 2014. I joined Wokingham in 2016. I have lots of childcare experience from working in nurseries to being a nanny and have been qualified since 1999.I have worked in two other Bright Horizons nurseries and having left the organisation for a few weeks in Summer 2016 I very quickly realised that this is the company for me and came right back! We have a great team here at Wokingham and being alongside them and our wonderful children makes for a lovely work place!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
