Meet the Team

Jackie Rumbold

I have worked for Bright Horizons for just over 9 years working hard to enhance my knowledge and skills to progress from a Nursery Assistant through to a Nursery Manager. I have managed three nurseries during this time and have supported two of these through a Good Ofsted inspection. One of my proudest career moments so far was to have received the Special Recognition award from Bright Horizons in 2013.

I completed my Foundation Degree in 2012 achieving my NVQ Level 5,and I now have a young daughter keeping me on my toes. I am in the fortunate position of leading the care and education that my baby receives and am honoured to do the same for all of the children in the nursery.

Penny Heselwood

My name is Penny and I have been a Deputy Nursery Manager for Bright Horizons since 2014. I joined Wokingham in 2016. I have lots of childcare experience from working in nurseries to being a nanny and have been qualified since 1999.

I have worked in two other Bright Horizons nurseries and having left the organisation for a few weeks in Summer 2016 I very quickly realised that this is the company for me and came right back!  We have a great team here at Wokingham and being alongside them and our wonderful children makes for a lovely work place!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 10 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
