A place to grow

Our warm and welcoming Hounslow day nursery is designed to support your child’s development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years. Our dedicated nursery team nurture your child as they transition through each of our four large rooms, each with age specific resources to encourage their love of fun, curiosity and learning.

Our nursery also follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and practices a Growing Enhancement programme unique to Bright Horizons, giving your child the inspiration and confidence to navigate subjects such as mathematics, art, reading and writing.

To give your child the energy they need to grow, play in our adventure garden or take part in our Boogie Mites movement activities, we provide them with delicious and nutritious meals every day. These are prepared within the nursery by our in-house chef using fresh ingredients, sourced by trusted suppliers.

Our Hounslow Day Nursery and Preschool in Hounslow is located near the town centre, Hounslow Central Station and other local transport links to make pick-up and drop-off as convenient as possible for you.

We are dedicated to delivering high quality childcare to local families like yours. This is why we have received a 9.9/10 score on daynurseries.co.uk, a 5/5 star rating on Google and are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (as of July 2019).

Meet the Team

Name of person

Christopher Moncrieffe

I started my childcare career in 2007, working as an unqualified practitioner, following ten years as a primary school teacher in Jamaica. My interest and enthusiasm in supporting children’s care, learning and development saw me quickly embarking on my childcare qualification.  Early in 2008 I completed my level 2 qualification, I then went on to further my knowledge and completed my NVQ level 3 qualification in early 2009. Because of my passion and desire for further knowledge and to be better equipped to support young children’s learning and development, I went on to complete my Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Education and my BA (Hons) in Early Years Education and Leadership in Practice in 2015.

During my time working in the early years sector, I have assumed different positions such as Room Leader, Unit Co-ordinator and Deputy Nursery Manager. I believe working in the Early Years sector over the years and assuming a variety of roles has equipped me with the necessary experience, knowledge and skills required to lead and successfully manage a team of practitioners.

I thoroughly enjoyed my job role as a practitioner and now as a Nursery Manager. It is my intention to ensure every child in my care is provided with the opportunity to have the best possible start in life and is given the support that will enable them to fulfil their potential.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
