Explore, learn and have fun at our Hounslow nursery

Welcome to Hounslow Day Nursery and Preschool, where our team of dedicated and experienced staff supports children's development from 3 months to 5 years. Our Ofsted Good rated nursery has four large rooms designed to help your little one thrive.

Excellent Rooms for All Ages

Babies will be nurtured as they learn, crawl and take their first steps. Our practitioners follow the routine your baby has at home as closely as possible.

Your toddler will have lots of fun in their large room, where they have plenty of space to play and explore. Toddlers also have their own outdoor space and a soothing sensory room.

In our spacious 2-3s room, the children have their own toilet area so we can support them with toilet training, as well as freeflow access to their own dedicated garden space.

Preschoolers love spending their days in our large preschool room, where independence is encouraged as they get ready to take their next steps to school by taking part in our Ready for School Programme.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

You can stay updated with your child's day through our Bright Horizons Family app.

Learning in the Great Outdoors

Your child will love exploring our large, all-weather garden, which has age-specific areas ensuring your little one has the best resources for their development.

Meet the Team

Hounslow Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Chris Moncrieffe

I started my childcare career in 2007, working as an unqualified practitioner, following ten years as a primary school teacher in Jamaica. My interest and enthusiasm in supporting children’s care, learning and development saw me quickly embarking on my childcare qualification.  Early in 2008 I completed my level 2 qualification, I then went on to further my knowledge and completed my NVQ level 3 qualification in early 2009. Because of my passion and desire for further knowledge and to be better equipped to support young children’s learning and development, I went on to complete my Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Education and my BA (Hons) in Early Years Education and Leadership in Practice in 2015.

During my time working in the early years sector, I have assumed different positions such as Room Leader, Unit Co-ordinator and Deputy Nursery Manager. I believe working in the Early Years sector over the years and assuming a variety of roles has equipped me with the necessary experience, knowledge and skills required to lead and successfully manage a team of practitioners.

I thoroughly enjoyed my job role as a practitioner and now as a Nursery Manager. It is my intention to ensure every child in my care is provided with the opportunity to have the best possible start in life and is given the support that will enable them to fulfil their potential.

My Early childhood career started in 2010, where I worked as an unqualified agency staff across different nurseries. Over the years my passion grew for this sector and I wanted to be able to offer more to the children in my care. I therefore went on to complete my qualification as a Level 3 Early Years practitioner. This qualification gave me the knowledge I needed to support children between 0 and 5 years of age and their learning and development. Early years is of particular interest and importance to me as I understand how crucial children’s development is during these formative years.

I have worked at Hounslow Day Nursery and Preschool for the past 8 years. During this time I have been a Nursery practitioner and a Team Leader for Toddlers and Preschool teams. I have also worked in the Babies Room and often support the Nursery Room Team.

Having gained a vast knowledge in childcare and learning and development as well as leadership, I wanted to expand on this to understand more about the operations side of the nursery as a whole. I therefore applied for and was successful in the role of Third in Charge and have most recently been promoted to the Nursery Deputy Manager.

I completely enjoyed my role as a practitioner, Team Leader, Third in Charge and now as a Deputy Nursery Manager. It is my intention to ensure every child in my care is provided with the opportunity to have the best possible start in life to enable their future success.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
