Meet the Team

Lucy Little

I have been working for Bright Horizons for over 9 years, originally based at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office nursery where I was a deputy manager before I transferred over to Cisco in 2014. I have been lucky enough to be part of the whole process of getting the nursery established, and in March 2016 I was promoted to Nursery Manager. Before joining Bright Horizons, I went to the University of Northampton and achieved a degree in Early Childhood Studies, and shortly after also completed my Early Years Professional Status.

My dream in life has always been to work with children and I feel very grateful and privileged to have the chance to do so, particularly in such a prestigious setting. Every single day at the nursery is different and being able to develop such strong relationships with the parents and children is extremely fulfilling. I am passionate, alongside my team, about supporting every child with their development giving them the opportunity to have the best start in life.

Linda Matthews

I transferred from kidsunlimited to Cisco Early years Nursery and Preschool when the nursery opened three years ago. I started as Third in Charge and Room Leader of our babies room before being promoted to Deputy Manager. I feel privileged to be able to do the work that I do. I love working with children, they are precious and the gift I can give to them is gentle guidance, support and understanding. Seeing life through the eyes of a child is something special, each child is unique and should be given every opportunity to flourish

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
