Welcome to Kew Day Nursery and Preschool, where our established team are dedicated to providing the best care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. 

Space to Learn and Grow

At Kew we pride ourselves on developing confident, strong and independent young learners by creating innovative, stimulating and inspiring environments for all children. The nursery is registered for 66 children and sits on one floor.

We have four lovely rooms, each designed to support the needs and development of our range of age groups.

In our Babies & Toddlers room (3 months - 2 years), we follow your baby’s home routine as closely as possible, to ensure a smooth transition to nursery life. The room consist of low-level furniture, with everything in easy reach for curious little minds. We have indoor climbing equipment to support motor skills, role play and construction areas to encourage independence and creativity and so much more. We also have a separate sleep room where our younger children can enjoy peaceful naps.

Next is our Nursery Class (2 - 3 years) where we encourage independence through playing and learning about the world around them. This includes creative and role-play area and a large construction area to spark imagination.

When your child starts in preschool (3-5 years), activities are planned around their individual interests, and we begin to implement our unique Growing Programmes. We work on developing the key skills your little one will need to feel ready and confident to start school. Children also enjoy Breathe Like a Bear Yoga to support their emotional wellbeing.

Children across the nursery also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

Outdoor Fun

We’re fortunate to have a two large garden areas, which is separated into age-specific areas to ensure your little one always has access to the best resources and activities for their development. Babies and Toddler room and Preschool have free flow access to the garden, allowing your child to enjoy playing outdoors throughout the day.

In the Preschool garden is full of fun to explore. From tepees and play trays to trikes and climbing frames, there is always something new to discover. We also have a planting area where your little one will learn about how things grow and take care of their own plants.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

All-Inclusive Care and Convenience

• Nutritionally-balanced meals are prepared daily along with a range of tasty and healthy snacks. Menus are provided by The Professional Nursery Kitchen.
• Our all-inclusive care extends to nappies, wipes, nappy cream and formula up to 12 months.

• With bus stops a two-minute walk and the Kew train station 15 minutes’ walk, the nursery is conveniently placed for commuters.
