Developing Confident Young Learners

Kew Day Nursery and Preschool is located in an affluent area with global companies located nearby and a high percentage of our parents commute to the city by car, rail and buses. With bus stops a two minute walk and the train station 15 minutes the nursery is conveniently placed for commuters.

Our growing team has a mix of well-established team members and fresh new faces.  The nursery is registered for 66 children and sits on one floor.  We have four bright and spacious rooms which are divided into: Babies (3 – 16 Months), Toddlers (16 months – 2 years), Nursery Class (2 - 3 years) and Preschool (3-5 years).  Preschool and Nursery class have free-flow access to the outdoors throughout the day with toddler room having access to the nursery class garden and Babies have their own outdoor area within the preschool garden.

You will always be greeted by a friendly face in the office, located opposite the nursery entrance door.  We also have a CCTV monitored door system in place for optimal security.

Our nursery is a wonderful day care environment that is innovative, stimulating and inspiring for children and staff alike.  We pride ourselves on developing confident, strong and independent young learners.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Kew Day Nursery and Preschool. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time that suits you.

Name of person

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
