Welcome to Bright Horizons Dorking Day Nursery and Preschool, where care, creativity, and confidence shape every child’s journey. Set in a charming building on Moores Road, near the A25 and Dorking train station, we offer a happy, stimulating space for children aged 3 months to 5 years. With fresh meals prepared onsite, dedicated practitioners, parking, and a buggy park, drop-offs and pick-ups are simple and stress-free.

We believe the early years lay the foundation for lifelong learning. That’s why, in every age-focused room, we combine enriching experiences with our unique Nurture Approach, which focuses on building warm, trusting relationships that help your child feel secure, confident, and ready to explore. Through our Bright Beginnings Curriculum, we take a holistic and tailored approach to each child’s development, nurturing emotional wellbeing alongside practical learning and life skills.
Whether they’re moving between rooms or preparing for school, we support every step of their journey with care and intention.

Our Baby room is thoughtfully designed to create a cosy, home-like environment where your child will feel safe and secure. A separate sleep room also provides a quiet and peaceful space where your child can recharge.

Our 2-3-year-old room is a vibrant and nurturing space designed to support the developmental needs of toddlers. Here, children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow through a variety of engaging activities and experiences. Our interactive play areas, which include role play, creativity, and construction areas, are designed to inspire imagination and creativity in young children. For our Preschool children, we are dedicated to fostering independence, preparing children for school, and developing essential social skills. Through our Ready for School Programme, we
encourage children to explore and learn at their own pace, building confidence and self-reliance. Our activities are tailored to promote school readiness, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, we emphasise the importance of social interaction, helping children to develop strong communication skills, empathy and the ability to work collaboratively with their peers.

Our wellbeing room is a tranquil space designed to promote relaxation and emotional well-being, providing children with a quiet area to unwind, reflect, and practice mindfulness. 

Our children love our garden and enjoy playing with a variety of loose parts, writing on the large chalk boards and getting messy in the outdoor kitchen. There's even room for tricycles; and while your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us. We also offer complimentary Settling in Sessions tailored to suit you and your family.
