An Outstanding and Inspiring Nursery with our Forest School

Welcome to Redhill Royal Earlswood Day Nursery and Preschool. At our Ofsted Outstanding nursery, little ones aged 3 months to 5 years spend their days having fun and learning skills to aid their development for the years to come.

A Place to Grow and Thrive

At our Redhill nursery we have dedicated rooms for all of our age groups where your child’s interests, independence and development will be fully supported.

You will always be involved in your child’s development through our regular newsletters, parent’s evenings and social evenings.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

The curriculum works in partnership with our preschool Ready For School Programme. Here, your child’s early academic skills are supported in conjunction with practical life skills they will need to thrive at school, such as communication, making friends, using cutlery and tying their own shoelaces.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

You can stay updated with your child’s day through our Bright Horizons Family app.

Outdoor Play and Forest School

As well as a beautiful, large garden area and adventure garden dedicated to our different age groups, your child will also benefit from daily Forest School sessions. Our trained Forest School leader arranges exciting activities including climbing, swinging, building, woodcraft and fire safety.

During their time at Forest School, your little adventurer will have fun in a natural environment, taking part in planting and harvesting their own fruits and veggies, building shelters and bug hotels, whittling pencils and learning about animals and creatures in their habitats.

I have been working in childcare for just over 20 years, working with children aged 3 months to 7 years old in nurseries and primary schools. I have also worked in a children's centre supporting parents to develop their children's early literacy skills.

I have a real passion for care and education; I have 4 children of my own and I try to bring a family feeling into the nursery. I enjoy encouraging and watching children's progress and development and work closely with the team to deliver great care and education.

I am passionate about supporting children in all areas of the curriculum to help each individual child to reach their full potential. As a parent myself I understand the importance of parent partnerships and involvement in the children's development and like to offer individual support if and when needed.

I have been at Royal Earlswood since I transferred from another bright horizons in 2016. I have been with bright horizons since 2012 when I joined the company as a nursery nurse and I have been in childcare since 2009. My daughter also attends the royal Earlswood setting and shares my love of the nursery. I enjoy all aspects of my role and work alongside my team to provide the children in our care the best opportunities for learning and play.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
