Meet the Team

Name of person

Natasha Cottingham

I have been working at Bright Horizons for 11 years and I am the nursery manager at Raynes Park Bright Horizons. I began my childcare journey working as a bank staff member while I was completing my level 3 childcare qualification at college. After this I became a nursery nurse and worked with all of the different age groups within the nursery. Throughout the years I have progressed through the roles of nursery nurse, room leader, third in charge, deputy manager and I am now the manger.

During this time I have also completed my Early Years Foundation Degree for 2 years and progressed onto competing a BA degree in Early Years and Teaching. I like to always keep my knowledge of childcare and education current and also enjoy sharing the learning with my team to develop their knowledge and understanding further. I thoroughly enjoy leading the team to provide excellent childcare and education for all of the children and families in or care. I look forward to meeting and working with you in the future.

I have been at Raynes Park Bright Horizons since June 2008. I have a Diploma in Child Care and Education Level 3. I started my journey at Raynes Park as a Nursery Nurse in pre-school where I enjoyed watching the children strive, develop and getting them ready for school. I was then promoted to room leader in the 2-3 years room where I enjoyed guiding and encouraging the children. I then transitioned between the 2-3 years room and pre-school for a couple of years before being promoted to the Deputy Manager. Throughout my time at Raynes Park, I have enjoyed liaising with many families, their children and watching them grow.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
