Poppetts Day Nursery

Welcome to Poppetts nursery in Shenfield, situated right next to Long Ridings Primary school and 5 mins walk from Shenfield station, which is on the Elizabeth line, we also provide a distinctive out of school club.

Join in the fun with our thoughtfully planned activities that bring out important skills like math, language, communication, sensory and intellectual development, physical play, and social skills! Perfect for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Our baby room is designed for babies to experience a stimulating and serene environment, equipped with cushions, cosy areas, feeding chairs, sleeping pods, and age-appropriate resources. From cuddles to exciting activities, they thrive with attention as they grow.

Our toddler room is designed to encourage your child to learn basic skills. They'll love getting stuck into messy play, arts and crafts, baking, gardening, and community explorations. Trips to the greengrocer and local library enhance their experience.

Pre-schoolers and Toddlers can enjoy Talking Tots taught by an external teacher. Our daily activities include Boogie Mites sessions, Italian lessons, and our own echo school.

We also have a lovely all-weather garden, which is directly accessible from all rooms. This secure space is equipped with safety flooring and astroturf and ensures your child can have fun regardless of the weather. Abundant resources await exploration, such as a sandpit, pebble construction area for mini builders, a mud kitchen, water troughs, climbing frames, dens, chalkboards, and bikes and scooters to encourage physical activity as well as engaging in hands-on learning as the children explore and cultivate plants and herbs and every week our preschoolers attend our eco school sessions.

Our Out of School Club

As we are situated on the grounds of Long Ridings Primary School, we offer breakfast (7:45am - 9am) and an after-school club (3pm - 6pm) during term time for school children. After school, our trained staff will pick up your child and accompany them to our dedicated facility, The Pavilion. This detached building is purpose-built, offering a fully equipped space with amenities such as table football, a cosy book corner, arts and crafts supplies, a smart TV, private toilets, and more. These features ensure a variety of engaging activities to keep your child both busy and entertained. We also encourage and support the children with any homework.
