I have been at Bright Horizons in Epping since 2011. I progressed from Nursery Nurse to Room Leader. I took up the position of Deputy Manager in 2013 and then in 2014 became Nursery Manager.
Prior to my nursery career I worked in Primary School Education mostly in reception and Key Stage 1. I have attended University and took my B.A. in Education and went on to to gain my Early Year’s Teacher Status.
I am passionate about passing on my knowledge and training to help develop and upskill my staff, who in turn, I aim to inspire a love of using play to help children learn.
I started my journey at Bright Horizons in 2017 when I decided I wanted a career in something that I could both enjoy and excel in. When I first joined I was a Nursery Assistant and was given the opportunity to take my Level 3 qualification.
Once completed I progressed to Room Leader in Preschool I was able to lead my team which I enjoyed immensely and also carrying out these duties gave me an even greater understanding of more aspects of childcare and how to support the wellbeing of the children and the staff.
After a year as a Room Leader I was successful in becoming Third in Charge.
By combining my tasks I have supported the Management team, which then led me to being offered my current Role of Deputy Manager. I am very fortunate to have a career in a job that I am passionate about and ensuring the happiness, education and health and safety of the children, as well as maintaining that the nursery runs professionally and successfully.
I am extremely interested in furthering my career and am grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me by my Manager and the company.
