Englefield Green Day Nursery and Preschool has been purposefully designed with enriching environments and activities to support your child’s development from 3 months to 5 years. We ensure the transition from home to nursery, and then on to school, is a happy and fulfilling journey of learning.
We love encouraging your child to explore their interests and develop self-confidence as they learn. Our spacious, age-appropriate rooms feature plenty of books, art supplies and paper for those creative moments, kitchen areas for role-play, and activities that inspire young minds to see maths in their environment. Daily activities range from painting to yoga, dancing, singing and exploring outdoors. We also have a special milk kitchen and a separate sleep room for under twos.
Every room in our Englefield Green nursery has direct access to our large garden and outdoor play area. These include areas of ‘No Grow’ flooring, safe for all ages and all weather types, ensuring our children can explore the outdoors whatever the weather. Outdoor play is as good for the mind as it is for our bodies, and our practitioners encourage children to question their environment and discover new things. That could be looking for bugs, gathering natural materials for scientific study or observing how the changing seasons impact what is around us.
Our nursery in Englefield Green is located on a quiet residential road within the grounds of Royal Holloway University. We provide all-inclusive care, including all nappies, wipes, baby formula and fresh, nutritionally balanced meals prepared by our dedicated on-site chef.
Our highly qualified and experienced staff team helped us secure a 'Good' in our latest Ofsted Inspection.
Our long-standing team would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the NEW Bright Horizons Family App. The app will offer a variety of features that will give you the ability to get more information on your child's day than ever before, as well as being able to notify the nursery of any changes to your planned pick-up or absences, as well as booking extra sessions.
Where possible we look to offer flexible booking patterns and a range of funding options, including the government's 30 hours funded childcare* provision. To request pricing and availability, please request a call back by clicking the button below.

I started working with children after I completed my level 2 in childcare at college, working with the 2-3 year olds and loved every second, it was this that led me to start my NVQ level 3 in Childcare. I completed this whilst still working, then following my completion I became a Room Leader for Preschool aged children. Although I enjoyed working with the 2 year olds I loved the Preschool, getting them ready for the next big stage in their lives, ‘big school’.
I then started my Advanced in Management Training which I undertook whilst working, being promoted to 3rd in charge during my studies.
I joined Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and preschool in July 2015 as Deputy Manager, and then stepped up as Nursery Manager in June 2016. Since then I have loved working alongside all the rooms, and seeing the children develop and become confident each day.
I started working with children after leaving school and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have worked within all age groups and love my job, completing my Level 3 in Childcare whilst working within the 2-3 age group and shortly after I became a Room Supervisor.
The responsibility of leading a team as well as working with the children was very enjoyable which is when I decided to complete my Level 3 in Management and then my Advanced Diploma in Childcare. I joined Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool in September 2017 as Deputy Manager after having my first baby. My passion for childcare has grown since having my own child as I like any parent I want the best for his development. I am enjoying working alongside the rooms and supporting the staff teams.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
