Meet the Team

Sarah Johnson

I started working with children after I completed my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare at college, following up my education and completing my NVQ Level 3 whilst working in a nursery. I love working with pre-school children and helping them transition to ‘big school’. This encouraged me to start my Advanced in Management training, being promoted along the way. I joined Bright Horizons Englefield Green in 2015 as Deputy Manager where I am continuing my training. I love the homely environment that this nursery offers.

Lynsey Holden

I have been working in childcare since gaining my BTEC National Diploma in Early Years in 2006. I worked in various settings developing my knowledge and gaining experience, starting as a Nursery Nurse and then promoted to Room Leader. In 2015, I joined the Bright Horizons team as a Room Leader and Third in Charge. I recently became the Acting Deputy Manager at Englefield Green where I hope to extend my knowledge of childcare. I love working with our babies and 2-3 year olds, watching them develop and encouraging their learning.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
