A Warm, Welcoming Nursery in Carshalton

You and your child will love our stunning Carshalton Day Nursery and Preschool. Located in a residential area of Sutton, our nursery is designed to support your child’s development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

We have plenty of space for children to learn and explore, with four separate age-specific rooms. This includes a dedicated room for preschoolers to enjoy an enriching Ready for School programme. This gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond. Our unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

Carshalton Day Nursery encourages community enrichment by taking children to the local parks and to places where they can find unique learning opportunities, such as the greengrocers, where they can find out about healthy food choices and food variety.

We are located close to the town centre, less than fifteen minutes’ walk from Carshalton train station. We have parking bays for drop-off and pick-up, as well as a buggy shed for your convenience. All-inclusive fees also mean you do not have to prepare food or bring in nappies in the morning, giving you extra time and peace of mind.

Our nursery in Carshalton has been awarded an Ofsted rating of Good for our commitment to high quality childcare and education.

We would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Dhanvanti Deshmukh

With over 20 years' experience in Early Education, I have managed and successfully delivered highly stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years.

With a wealth of experience from different curricula and ethos of learning, I believe children learn best in a warm, loving environment where practitioners hold high expectations for children, resulting in children being highly engaged throughout their day at nursery.

I am delighted to be leading such a dedicated team at Peckham Rye Day Nursery and look forward to build the right conditions for learning so that children feel safe, cared for and valued.

Laura Gilbert

I have worked in the childcare sector for over 5 years. During this time, I have gained my level 3 qualification in childcare as well as completing various training including management and leadership training.

From starting my career as an apprentice, I gained valuable experience as a nursery nurse and then worked within the senior management team. My role as a Deputy Manager ensures that every day is different and it gives me new skills and knowledge all the time. I also hold the role as Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Child Protection Lead.

I am proud to be part of such an amazing team and it really does feel more like a family here.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
