Meet the Team

Danielle Grundy

I originally began my career in the childcare sector in Australia in 2006 as a Nursery Assistant.  Whilst studying and completing my qualifications (Certificate 111, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services) I worked my way up to become a Senior Manager.  I then made the decision to broaden my horizons and experience a new environment by moving to the United Kingdom.  I have worked for the company since 2009 and during that time I managed one of the branches for five years, supported various Nurseries as a Field Manager as well as being promoted to a Senior Manager.  I came to support Looking Glass Day Nursery in April 2015 and have been managing the nursery in a senior capacity ever since.  Every day I am inspired by the children, seeing their smiling happy little faces when I arrive at work, throughout the day and when I leave.  Watching them stretch and grow, achieving things they didn't think they could truly amazes me. I feel privileged to know that I have impacted their lives and provided a stable environment and platform for which they can achieve.

Lauren Runacre

I started my career in childcare 12 years ago and have been with Bright Horizons since 2008. I started my journey with Bright Horizons as a Nursery Nurse in a Preschool room, working my way up from a Room Manager, to Head of Unit and Quality Care for the under 2 year olds, to Third in Charge and on my return after becoming a mummy for the first time I became Deputy Manager in 2016.

During this time I gained my level 2 & 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development, Level 2 in Leadership and an advanced qualification in Management. I have always had a passion for working with children and alongside a staff team that share the same vision and goals when it comes to quality care. I feel my role as a childcare provider is endlessly rewarding and I love knowing that I am providing a safe, stimulating environment for our children.
