Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Our nursery setting is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30, for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We offer a warm, welcoming environment supporting the transition from home to nursery, and we provide excellent nutritionally-balanced menus using fresh ingredients prepared by our own chef. We are proud to offer our unique Growing Programmes as well as extra-curricular activities including Theatrebugs and Les Coccinelles French classes. There is a large external play area with a beach feature and plenty of space for your child to explore and play.

Meet the Team

Terry Bedford

I've worked with children for the past 11 years and have continued to enjoy it immensely. It's a fantastic field to work in with continuous improvements to make, new challenges with the children and a vast array of interesting approaches to educating the little ones.
My passion is speech and language along with behaviour management as I find it very rewarding when you can see positive changes in the children's development.
I bring my love for reading, gardening and theorists to the nursery to share with the children and inspire my team.

Anna

I first wanted to work with children when my nieces and nephews were born. This started my passion when I went on to complete my level 3 at college.

My career in childcare started at our Richmond nursery. After a short while I was promoted to a room leader and then transferred to Barnes to become the Deputy Manager. During my time working at Barnes I have found my passions that I can share with the children which is encouraging exploring through play and assisting children to develop their senses through sensory development.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
