Asquith Richmond Day Nursery

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

At Richmond children's day Nursery, not only do we recognise the value of giving children an abundance of fun, education and care, but also how important it is to keep the safety of your child at the forefront of what we do.

We're rated 'Good' by OFSTED, and as you walk into the nursery, you will be greeted by a friendly management team who can always help with any questions or concerns you may have.

The light and airy hallway lead into four stunning rooms which will cater for all of your child’s needs. We pride ourselves on individualised planning for each child; recognising that every child is unique but remembering equality for all.

An experienced staff team will plan weekly activities for your child, which you can see on each room’s parent board. We also encourage parents to participate in observations too, allowing us to have a broader view on each child's interests and development.

Each room at our day nursery in Richmond has direct access onto a newly refurbished outdoor space. The area is split into two with a separate area for our younger children. The environment allows every child the ability to take risks in a safe manner, whilst also allowing them to learn about the wider world.

As part of our childcare provision in Richmond, we also provide breakfast club and after-school care for children attending Marshgate Primary School only, to ensure that children receive complete wrap-around care.

We are within several school catchment areas of several primary schools including Marshgate Primary School, Holy Trinity CofE School, St Elizabeth’s Catholic School, Darell Primary School and The Vineyard Primary.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Richmond day nursery. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
