Asquith Balham Day Nursery & Pre-School

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Providing quality childcare in Balham. The stunning adventure garden at our OFSTED inspected Nursery and Pre-School, and internal refresh of the Nursery is now complete.

As part of the Asquith family, we at Balham children's nursery pride ourselves on providing safe, exciting and enjoyable nursery childcare where children thrive as they learn.

At Balham children's day nursery we have reinvested heavily in our nurseries, creating a wonderful day care environment that is innovative, stimulating and inspiring for children and staff alike.

Our aim is to ensure children are developing to the best of their abilities within an environment that promotes their individuality. We follow a play-based curriculum that promotes personal and social skills, communication and language, understanding the world, physical skills, maths and developing creativity.

Safety is paramount and we have robust security procedures for your peace of mind. CCTV has been installed for child and staff protection as well as being a useful aid for parents while settling their children into the nursery environment.

Balham Day Nursery & Pre-School is located within the catchment of many schools which include the Telfrescott School and Henry Cavendish Schools.

Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Leanne Eustace

I have transitioned from being an unqualified nursery assistant in 2007 to now having my NVQ Level 3 in child care and development and Level 5 in Management. I have five years’ experience with babies as a baby’s room leader, two years’ experience with the 2-3 year olds as a room manager and 2.5 Years’ experience as a nursery Manager.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
