I worked as a nursery nurse in 2 schools with nursery and reception. Having only part time hours I became a supply nursery nurse at a special needs school and ran a before and after school club. My journey then brought me to Farnborough in Hampshire 17 years ago. Here I joined Hatton Hill Day Nurseries working at Nursery on the Green and Footsteps in Farnborough. I worked my way through the ranks from Preschool Room Manager to Nursery Manager. After completing my Foundation degree I moved to Starfish Guildford as their Nursery Manager. I was there for 6.5 years before heading over to Sandown Park 6 years ago. In January I made a decision to follow my passion in supporting my colleagues and became a Field Manager I do this alongside managing Southfields Day Nursery and Preschool.
In my spare time I like to read, go to the theatre and take in a spa day or two.
I have been working with Bright Horizons for 10 years and hold a Level 3 Qualification in childcare and education. Also, I have just completed my level 5 degree in leadership and management. I have experience working with all age groups and I enjoy providing inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery and to maintain a stimulating and enjoyable environment to ensure every child has the best possible start in their educational life.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
