Meet the Team

Maria Franco

I have been working in childcare since 2009, joining Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool in 2010. I have a real passion for what I do and love seeing the children grow, learn and develop their independence. I have worked with children from 3 months to 5 years and will continue to achieve and maintain high standards of care and education throughout the nursery.

Joana

I joined Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool in 2009, in which time I progressed from Preschool Room Supervisor to Third in Charge and now to my current role as Deputy Manager.

I am also the nursery's special needs coordinator and I lead on planning support for individual children, external agencies and colleagues.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
