A bright and spacious nursery in Southgate

Our stunning Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool on Chase Road is specifically designed to enhance your child's development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

We have six large age-tailored rooms all purposefully designed to help your child thrive. The Under 2s have a beautiful sensory room on the ground floor, with a large ball pool, bubble machine and cosy mood lighting. Their room opens out into a garden, allowing fresh air and outdoor excitement. Over 3s can expand their learning with access to a computer and an iPad in their room, alongside sensory sand and water trays and a construction area.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Our nursery boasts two separate gardens. An Under 2’s garden with a reading area, plenty of shade and room to move around. Our large main garden has a water wall, wooden tepee, balance beams and lots of space to ride trikes and exercise. There is even a covered outdoor classroom offering shade and shelter come rain or shine.

We know the importance of community culture and regularly take the children on walks to the local park, pointing out landmarks on the way. This helps to build their confidence in places other than their nursery and makes them more familiar with their local area.

Southgate nursery is a 3-minute walk from Southgate Underground station. We have onsite car parking for parents to drop off and pick up, and a buggy storage area. Our all-inclusive fees include all meals, snacks, nappies and wipes, making morning preparation easier for you.

Our long-standing team would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you everything our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
