Meet the Team

Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Samantha King

I began my Bright Horizons journey in January 2016 as Room Leader at our West Hampstead Station nursery and was promoted to Third in Charge shortly after. I have had experience working in all rooms across the nursery and helping to support room leaders to excel in their role. I transferred to our Crouch End Fields nursery in 2018 after returning from maternity leave to start a new adventure as Deputy Manager.

I have had experience in many different senior roles such as being Room Leader, Third in Charge and Deputy Manager at other settings. I have also been Lead SENCO in my past nurseries.

I am passionate about childcare and thrive on providing a safe, educational, home away from home environment where children can learn and develop whilst enjoying their time at nursery. I thoroughly enjoy my interactions with children within the nursery setting and also supporting and motivating my staff team in providing exceptional experiences for the children within our care.

Kachka Dunn Deputy Manager Crouch End

Kashca Dunn

My name is Kashca and I am the Deputy Manager Maternity cover here at Crouch End. Prior to starting at Crouch End I was based at Bright Horizons Crouch End Fields where I managed for a year.

I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead and Paediatric First Aider of the nursery.

I have worked in education for 9 years across both primary and Early Years settings.

I achieved my BA Hons Degree in Education Studies covering areas such as Children’s Thinking Skills and the Cognition development to Therapeutic Approaches and how we can support children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities through mediums such as Art and Music.

I have a passion for developing parent partnerships and strive to ensure children have the best possible starts in their lives; both children and staff are happy whilst in our care.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
