A place to grow

Maidstone Boughton Lane Day Nursery and Preschool is set amongst beautiful mature trees, and sheep can often be spotted in the fields by the nursery.

We have an amazing adventure garden with its own Ark climbing frame, hobbit house, wobbly road and sensory area. In total, we have three gardens: one for the babies and two larger spaces for the under and over three. Our gardens have a natural feel where children can experience first-hand grass, mud, bugs and even grow their own vegetables.

The nursery is situated in the catchment areas of Loose Infant School and Tiger Primary School.

Choosing a nursery is a very important decision and it's crucial that you make the right choice for your child. The nursery complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage and our priority is meeting your child's individual needs and making sure they are well cared-for. The nursery has a friendly atmosphere and is both fun for the children and reassuring for parents. Along with our eight weeks of free settling in, we also conduct home visits.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Maidstone Boughton Lane Day Nursery and Preschool. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
