Kenton Day Nursery and Preschool is a fun place for children to grow and learn. We’re based in a converted house conveniently situated for the Bakerloo and Metropolitan Tube lines and are located within the catchment of the Mount Stewart Infant School. We also have strong links with Private Schools in and around the surrounding areas.
Our environments are set up to meet the high-quality care and education for the children which will help the children with the requirements for the assessments. We have a beautiful large garden for outdoor discovery with a separate under twos grass area to ensure babies can play safely. We put down mats for babies who are not walking. The children enjoy having fun playing with educational games and socialising with their friends. Each area has a climbing frame and for older children we have a garden project area for nature exploration and planting. Children are very creative at Kenton Day Nursery and Preschool, they like to explore their imagination skills and create their own fun and exciting areas.
Come and visit us to experience the warm atmosphere, our fantastic facilities, and our dedicated team. We offer a flexible settling in process where the journey begins for your child and yourself. We will allocate a key person for your child where they will gain a positive relationship and monitor your child’s development and achievements in the nursery. We understand that choosing a nursery can be a hard decision and you will be offered the opportunity to book a personal show round and stay and play session where you and your child can join in nursery activities with other children and meet other parents and staff.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the NEW Bright Horizons Family App. The app will offer a variety of features that will give you the ability to get more information on your child's day than ever before, as well as being able to notify the nursery of any changes to your planned pick-up or absences, as well as booking extra sessions.
Where possible we look to offer flexible booking patterns and a range of funding options, including the government's 30 hours funded childcare* provision. To request pricing and availability, please request a call back by clicking the button below.

I joined Kenton pre-school and day nursery in September 2017 as nursery manager.
I am passionate about working with children and their families and have worked in this field for the last 20 years in a variety of roles in the private and public sector including intensive family support and Acting Head teacher of an inclusive maintained Nursery School with complex needs placements.
I hold a Master of Arts in Integrated working with Children and Families in the Early Years and NVQ3 in Children’s Learning Care and Development.
I am fascinated by how we construct meaning from our experiences and how we use our early education environment to support the children in our care to make excellent progress in their learning and development. We aim to provide a stimulating, engaging and nurturing place for your child to explore their curiosity about the world and I look forward to talking with you.
I have been working in early years setting for the last 20 years, after a year of joining Asquith nurseries in 2009 I completed my level 4 in children’s care, learning and development.
I also hold a NVQ3 in Children’s Learning Care and Development. My passion is to see young children grow and nourish through the different stages of development, to be supported, challenged and developed by practitioners to extend their learning, opportunities and experiences.
I joined BH in 2014 as an unqualified bank staff member. Here I realised how much joy children bring to my life and how I wanted to help them to grow and celebrate each milestone they achieve.
BH has lots of different online and face to face courses that helped me to support children in their learning. I also got a chance to take part of BH’s apprenticeship programme where I became a L3 Early years educator in 2017.
Since then I have become a room leader and third in charge by 2018. I am really happy that I joined BH and getting all this encouragement and support on my journey. It has been life changing for me.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
