A caring and enriching environment in Kenton

Welcome to our charming Kenton Day Nursery and Preschool. Our Ofsted rated 'Good' nursery is set in a lovely character building where our long-standing team provide exceptional care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Excellent Resources for All Age Groups

Babies love our cosy baby room, where we follow individual routines to ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery. With a fun and stimulating environment, your little one will blossom as they reach their developmental milestones.

Pre-toddlers enjoy their own room, filled with activities to encourage curiosity and exploration, while those just on the move have direct access to the garden as well as our light and spacious toddler room.

Preschoolers lap up their special Learning Room, which focuses on gentle lessons and developing key skills as they prepare for their transition to school.

A 'Bright Beginning' for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the very best start through our enriching and wellbeing focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's development and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Follow their progress via the Bright Horizons Family app and learn what keeps them engaged throughout the day.

Outdoor Space Crafted to Learn and Grow

Your little explorer will love spending time in our large, landscaped garden, which is covered so they can play come rain or shine. We have a separate under 2s grass area, while older children can enjoy making discoveries and planting in the garden project area.

All-Inclusive Convenience

We know how stressful mornings can be. That's why we include all the necessary extras such as meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, nappy cream and sun cream.

The Next Steps

Our nursery in Kenton is located within the catchment of the Mount Steward Infant School and we have strong links with private and state schools in and around the local area.

Ideal for Commuting Parents

We're ideally situated for local and commuting families, with Kenton Station Overground and Kenton and Northwick Park tube just a short walk away. We also have a buggy park onsite and a car park for convenience.

I have been working in early years setting for the last 20 years, after a year of joining Asquith nurseries in 2009 I completed my level 4 in children's care, learning and development.

I also hold a NVQ3 in Children's Learning Care and Development. My passion is to see young children grow and nourish through the different stages of development, to be supported, challenged and developed by practitioners to extend their learning, opportunities and experiences.

I joined Bright Horizons in 2014 as an unqualified bank staff member. Here I realised how much joy children bring to my life and how I wanted to help them to grow and celebrate each milestone they achieve.

Bright Horizons has lots of different online and face to face courses that helped me to support children in their learning. I also got a chance to take part of Bright Horizons' apprenticeship programme where I became a L3 Early years educator in 2017.

Since then I have become a room leader and Third in Charge by 2018. I am really happy that I joined Bright Horizons and getting all this encouragement and support on my journey. It has been life changing for me.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
